In 1997, Sir Clive produced another small radio, this time FM; the X1, claimed to be the smallest in the world. It was designed to fit
snuggly inside the ear like a hearing aid but with a detachable plastic clip to hold it in place (missing from the photos). Working in the FM band, tuning was achieved
by scanning up or down the range by a switch on the outside, and a trailing wire was used as the aerial.
